1999 : CREATION de la Confédération Cotonnière Européenne. Issue du groupe de contact européen, plate forme informelle d’échange existante depuis 1973

2001 : Présentation du projet de texte de Règlement Général Européen aux 7 associations membres de la Confédération

2005: Adoption par
Belgium Cotton Association (BCA) en février
Gdynia Cotton Association (GCA) en Juin

2006: Adoption par l'AFCOT le 12 Octobre à Deauville lors d'une Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire

Le RGE aborde tous les aspects des contrats quantitatifs, qualitatifs et commerciaux. Le RGE précise également les conditions d’exécution des contrats. Possibilité offerte à chaque association d’intégrer des annexes spécifiques.

Pour cette protection, les co- contractants doivent signer
« RGE / ECR AFCOT – ARBITRAGE LE HAVRE  »
